Start by using less, more carefully

Make reusable tools last
Rinse cloths after use, wash them according to their care label and let them dry fully before storing. Keep separate cloths for different cleaning tasks. Look after mop pads and brushes as well: clean tools are easier to reuse effectively and less likely to spread yesterday's dirt.
